The porn site seems to have been decreased in overall popularity of site searching traffic on Internet. In fact, traffic to social network sites such as Friendster, Facebook, MySpace, Hi5, has overcome porn site searching. The survey was presented by general manager of research company Hitwise, Bill Tancer in new book “Click: What Millions of People are Doing Online and Why It Matters.” This will soon become a major indicator of trend that is in the future.
Porn sites searching has decreased about 10 percent of all search queries, compared with ten years ago as much as 20 percent. For people 18 to 24 years old, they know where they can find favorite online adult sites, but Tancer found that they are not interested anymore with adult sites. In his opinion, this is because they have spent almost their time to buzz around social network site.
Tancer also found others habitual that occurred decreasing of adult site popularity. For example, users will search more often about tropic storm after Katrina Hurricane some time ago, and they will often seek more information about a new storm. Or other example, teenagers search more often about fashion trends for New Year or new season now, even searching about Obama or other political or economic issues as Global Finance Crisis become matter for all people.
