Millions of teenagers have been now familiar with digital world on the Internet. Web-entertainment industries and communities are growing with rapidly. Club Penguin, webkinz, Starfall, and Facebook may be just a part of millions of ‘Kid-friendly sites’. Most of the fans of this websites are school-age children up to students. And these ‘Kid-friendly sites’ enjoy the benefits. For example, the creator of toys ‘webkinz’ takes the characters from the virtual-world get visitors about 6 million children last year.

The marketers and brander also give more attention on this matter. For example Disney bought Club Penguin worth $ 350 million dollars. In addition, branders such as Toyota Motor, Kellogg’s, PepsiCo, and Warner Bros. also improve the ads dedicated for children in virtual world.

MySpace Agreed Protection Issue for Children

In the middle of high pressure and public discussion about the rule for children protection from violence, MySpace agreed taking steps to protect children and teenagers from influence of any online sexual violance and other types of fraudster. One of MySpace policy is making age verification system (age-verification technology) for member access.

MySpace as one of largest social network site that many of its members consist of both children and adolescents will create a regulation that is intended for professional companies to control their operations. Besides that, other social network sites will also participate on this policy. As delivered in Yahoo News, people must be responsible to tell children that when they communicate through the Internet, they not only are typing through computer, but are also introducing and sharing information about their self to other people.
