Backup and recovery are important activities for your computer data protection. Without data backup and data recovery, we will lose our valuable data, productivity and revenue as well. Of course to prevent loss of data, we will treat our computer and the data stored in its hard drive with extreme care. But we must also be ready if the unexpected comes especially for our business data protection. It will be a disaster and even the end of our company if we lose all valuable data of our clients.
User errors, system crash, software errors, virus attacks, hacking, hardware failure, and natural disasters are the common cases, the cause of data loss. As a good computer user we can do some simple actions to help us avoid loss of data. For instance, if we have hard drive in large capacity, we can make 3 or 4 partitions, including system only partition, software / program files partition, data partition, and data backup partition. In this way, your data, program files and settings will be save if a system crash or virus infection occurs. And for data backup, you can save your data or documents double in different partitions (the original in data partition and the copy in data backup partition). In this way, you do not need to worry when your file is corrupt by unsuccessful saving process or if you or someone accidentally deletes your files. And if there is partition corrupt, file system or logical data loss and error, you can perform a recovery by yourself using data recovery software.
But what if something worse happens to you?
A dangerous virus creates bad sectors on your hard drive that makes your computer doesn’t boot up at all. Read the rest of this entry »
